Call recording and how long calls are kept
This article explains how the AI phone agent records and transcribes your calls. You also learn how long the data is kept and who owns it.
You decide whether calls should be recorded and saved, as well as for how long. It is also possible to opt out of recording entirely. You always own the insights from your call data.
Recording and transcribing calls
The call can be recorded when the AI phone agent takes a call. We then turn the entire file into written text. Our AI reads through the text to extract the topic, summary, and customer satisfaction from the call.
The AI phone agent is designed to understand what the caller wants. Insights from recorded calls feed the knowledge base. This helps the agent handle your future cases independently.
Managing your retention time
You decide how long recordings and data are saved. The General Data Protection Regulation requires keeping information no longer than necessary.
The default setting is ninety days. This timeframe is sufficient for most businesses. You can opt out of recording entirely if you prefer.
Secure processing and ownership
All data is processed in data centres located inside the European Union. The information is encrypted both in transit and at rest. A data processing agreement governs how we process personal data on your behalf.
You own the insights from your call data. Everything the data reveals belongs to you. You see patterns and metrics in a dashboard. You access all call data via our MCP and can explore the data yourself.
